One of my favorite activities is packing a bag full of useful essentials and hitting the road. This could be anything ranging from a trail, bush, or even mountains.

Have you ever wondered what you are missing in your life, or what the next steps may be? Sometimes it becomes a valuable part of our daily functions to just admire and take in the things that are in front of us. I think there is a deep joy in the many sounds and views the world has to offer. Which is why I make it a part of my habits to get out and explore!

We spend most of our life indoors surrounded by man made objects and it really does not become reality until you realize how much more there is to the world. Things that we have had for centuries, that are also as plain as the next day. Most of my life has been a constant battle of reward searching and accomplishment reaching. I never stopped to smell the flowers and appreciate the true serenity that is offered for free.

Health is the most important life hack in my opinion which is why I decided to make this post.

I have finally stopped to smell the flowers and in doing so I truly learned the value of the world and how important it is to stay healthy. Sometimes all it takes is a 20 minute walk alongside a river to really admire and soak in the strengths of the world. My mission is to help others smell the flowers and begin a self discovery journey of their own.

Life never stopped teaching and even more so, life never stops growing. Every day begins as a new chapter for our future selves. If we stop now and smell the flowers, we will surely learn to value ourselves and the earth more. We can create a much happier, healthier, and brighter future.

The thing about self care is that it can ultimately be the key to greater happiness if you let it. The most valuable treatment to ourselves is to self-remind what the world really means to us and how we want to live it.

I had to quickly learn the value of nutrition and how much of an impact it would have on overall energy and the ability to stay active. You learn that without you, there is less value in the world. It becomes a very important priority.

So when the day starts and something about it feels off or uneasy, first step is to eat well.

In my earlier years, teachers taught you about foods and how to balance it by food groups but they failed to teach about the value of it and where that value comes from. They did not teach about nutrition intake and what you should avoid as far as ingredients go. I spent about 6 months researching and taking courses on different food products that have been created over the years and it was surprising to me how much we have that is not at all valuable to us. In turn, some think they are doing what's right but more often then not, it's actually causing more harm then good. Learning to understand nutrition values and recommended intake is by far the first step to a healthier diet.

Today is the day to grab the steering wheel of your diet and make positive changes, I can promise it will make you feel a lot better. Now, habits are hard to create and even harder to maintain but the really amazing part of this that once the first few days have past, your lifestyle begins to change and it becomes much easier! Like learning how to lift a 100lb weight; It requires time and patience but it is achievable.

I highlight the title as eating well and traveling often. I stress this because I believe there is a fine balance between how one decides self-care. For me, it is the combination of a healthy eating style and participating in outdoor activities. The journey is long but the end result is by far the most rewarding thing I have strived for so far. Once you really grab onto what is valuable to you, you will thrive.

Eat well, and travel often friends.
